Jamie XX has teased that he will be creating his own music festival in London which will take place next summer.
The DJ, producer and member of The xx has taken to his official Instagram account to share his plans for an all day festival that he will be curating at Victoria Park in the summer of 2025.
He shared an IG reel that sees him performing at one of his gigs with he crowd dancing and going wild. “It’s always an exciting prospect playing in my home town. Having done The Floor and Alexandra Palace this year, it’s time for something else!” began the caption of his post.
It continued: “Next June I will be headlining Victoria Park and curating my own day festival. More info coming on Tuesday, sign up via link in stories…” Fans interested in keeping up with the event can visit here and sign up to Jamie xx’s official mailing list.
It has been speculated that the DJ may be the mastermind behind the newly announced LIDO festival which is set to take place in June 2025 at London’s Victoria Park, the same date and place as the music bash that Jamie xx announced in his Instagram post.
The festival is named after the park’s Lido Field and promises two weekends featuring “carefully curated music line-ups alongside community-driven activities during the week, all with a strong emphasis on sustainability.”
In other news, Jamie xx is currently on his ‘In Waves’ world tour. The run of live dates are in support of his album ‘In Waves‘ which marked his first solo full-length since 2015’s ‘In Colour’. Check out a full list of tour dates below and visit here to purchase tickets.

In a four-star review of ‘In Waves’, NME called the LP “an even more melancholic record than its predecessor – and a less immediately exciting one, too. But it’s arguably a more complex beast, born of a complex era yet authored by a musician with one eye on the simple, timeless pleasures of the club. With ‘In Waves’, almost a decade on from the triumph of ‘In Colour’, Jamie xx remains in bloom.”
