Jared Leto is denying that there’s any truth to the new accusations of sexual misconduct by four women, who all claim that their alleged encounters with the 30 Seconds to Mars frontman occurred when they were teens.

“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life,” the actor said in a statement shared with Billboard. “These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”
His response comes after the BBC published a report on Wednesday (July 29) summarizing the allegations made in its new documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret. One of the four women who spoke to the filmmakers accused Leto of sexually assaulting her in a motel bathroom when she was 17, while another claims that she was 19 when he allegedly threatened to sexually assault her in a hotel room, in which she’d been “unexpectedly left alone” with the singer-actor.
A third woman claims Leto had sex with her when she was 17 years old, which is considered statutory rape in California, where the alleged incident took place. She said that she was up-front with the Suicide Squad actor about her age, but he allegedly “shrugged off” any concerns about the state’s age of consent.
The fourth woman highlighted in the report accused Leto of making lewd comments to her in repeated phone calls when she was 16, at one point allegedly expressing his desire to have sex with her. She claims that he or his team later sent her a non-disclosure agreement to sign, forbidding her from talking about her experiences with him, but she refused.
The new claims follow previous sexual misconduct allegations against the singer-actor. The BBC reports that it counted more than 120 separate allegations of him exhibiting inappropriate or predatory behavior toward women, including the experiences of six other women who came forward in the new documentary. Four of them also claimed that Leto placed sexually explicit phone calls to them when they were younger, and another alleges that when she was 14, he made a sexually suggestive comment about her body at an autograph signing at a music festival. She claims that he then told security personnel to bring her backstage, where he allegedly repeated the comment after her mother confronted him.
All 10 of the women featured in the doc claim that their experiences with the Oscar winner took place between 2002 and 2016, when he would have been between the ages of 31 and 45. He was previously accused of assault, sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior by nine different women in a 2025 report by Air Mail, which Leto’s reps vehemently denied at the time and called “demonstrably false.”
Air Mail also reported that Dylan Sprouse posted on X in 2018, “Yo Jared Leto, now that you’ve slid into the DMs of every female model aged 18-25, what would you say your success rate is?” James Gunn — who directed the 2021 Suicide Squad sequel, from which Leto’s character was notably absent — reportedly replied at the time, “He starts at 18 on the internet?”
As part of 30 Seconds to Mars, Leto and his bandmate, brother Shannon Leto, have notched five entries on the Billboard Hot 100. Seven of the duo’s albums have charted on the Billboard 200, including 2018’s America, which peaked at No. 2, and 2013’s Love Lust Faith + Dreams, which reached No. 6.
