Jorja Smith and Robyn were among the winners at the 2026 Independent Music Awards at The Roundhouse in London on Tuesday.
Smith collected the Best Independent Track prize for The Way I Love You, which was released in May 2025 on her FAMM label and peaked at No. 39 on the UK’s Official Singles Chart.
The prize is her second at the Independent Music Awards, having first collected the Independent Breakthrough trophy in 2018.
Robyn earned the Best Independent Album for her ninth album Sexistential, while soul star Jalen Ngonda, who was nominated in three categories, earned this year’s Independent Breakthrough prize.
The annual awards, hosted by the Association for Independent Music, celebrate the UK’s indie music scene. Here’s a highlight list of the winners.
