Rolling Stone is premiering a snippet of the pair’s performance from the Tonight Show host’s Holiday Seasoning Spectacular special
Nothing is going to stop Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon from bro-ing out this holiday season. The pair recently reunited for “You’ll Be There” — off Fallon’s new record, Holiday Seasoning — and today Rolling Stone is premiering a snippet of the track’s visual, which will appear on Fallon’s Holiday Seasoning Spectacular TV special.
The 90-second clip finds Timberlake and Fallon goofing off in a glittering green screen-manufactured winter wonderland. Alternately donning velvet tuxedos and neon-bright snow suits, the pair show off their dance moves, chuck conspicuously solid snowballs at each other, and steer a sleigh through a confetti blizzard as they sing, “Tell me you’ll be there/Only thing on my wish list is that you’ll be home for Christmas/Tell me you’ll be there.”
The Holiday Seasoning Spectacular is set to air Dec. 4 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC following the annual “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” tree lighting ceremony. The special will also be available to stream on Peacock starting Dec. 5.
Along with Timberlake, the special will feature many of the performers who also appeared on Holiday Seasoning, including Dolly Parton, the Jonas Brothers, the Roots, LL Cool J, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Cara Delevingne, Meghan Trainor, and J.B. Smoove.
Fallon released Holiday Seasoning last month. The album primarily featured new tunes, but also three holiday singles he’s shared in recent years, including 2021’s “It Was a… (Masked Christmas),” featuring Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion; 2022’s “Almost Too Early for Christmas” with Parton; and last year’s “Wrap Me Up” with Trainor.
Holiday Seasoning is Fallon’s third full-length album. His first album, 2002’s The Bathroom Wall, was a mix of original comedy songs and stand-up routines; while 2012’s Blow Your Pants Off featured tracks with Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Eddie Vedder, Dave Matthews, and more.
