Keep your hands off Kacey Musgraves. The singer called out a handsy fan who appeared to try to grab her arm and pull her in for a hug at her show in Tampa, FL at Amalie Arena on Friday, saying the incident almost got Texas serious. “Last night, this Tampa b–ch,” Musgraves said between songs at her show in Hollywood, FL on Saturday night in reference to the incident the night before when the fan appeared to startle the “Deeper Well” star when they reached out too aggressively.
“She kind of ruined it,” Musgraves continued. “She kind of ruined it for everybody. I thought I was going to have to get real East Texas on her, take off my earrings. Florida goes hard.” The digression came after the incident in Tampa 24 hours earlier, caught on video by fans, in which Musgraves stopped singing and said, “what the f–k?” to the person before huffing, “Jesus f–king Christ!”
Musgraves’ fan run-in came a week after both Zach Bryan and Wiz Khalifa were forced to pause their respective shows after objects were thrown on stage. At Bryan’s show at the Tacoma Done in Washington, he stopped playing when an item from the crowd struck one of his on-stage guests. “Who threw this? Who was it? Does anyone know?” he asked the crowd. When no one fessed up, he issued a stern warning, saying, “Don’t throw s—t at concerts, huh? And if you guys do know who threw it, you need to get ‘em outta here, if we ever find out who did it.”
At Khalifa’s show in Thailand, the rapper had a similar experience during a set at Rolling Loud Thailand in Pattaya, when a fan threw stacks of cash on stage. “Stop throwing money on the stage. I’m not a stripper, dog,” said the “Black and Yellow” rapper. “Quit throwing money on the stage,” he added as the fan quickly apologized, which did appear to solve the issue. “I’ve already told you once. I’m not a dancer. If you don’t know, I’m Wiz Khalifa,” he said.
Musgraves will be at it again tonight (Dec. 2) at the Kia Center in Orlando, FL.
