Kanye West has lined up his first European concert in 12 years.
The Stronger rapper, also known as Ye, will make his live comeback in Europe with a one-night-only concert at GelreDome in Arnhem, the Netherlands, on Saturday 6 June.
According to a press release, the show will be the first stop in Kanye’s limited run of European dates, including a concert in Reggio Emilia, Italy on 18 July. Further dates have yet to be announced.
The Arnhem gig will mark the rapper’s first European live concert since 2014, and his first in the Netherlands since 2013.
“We look forward to welcoming Ye to GelreDome. This is an event of international scale and a special moment for Dutch audiences,” said a spokesperson for GelreDome. “We expect significant demand.”
In a listing on its website, concert organiser J.Noah Live described the show as a “rare and unmissable moment for Ye’s fans” and added, “This will not be a standard concert. It’s a moment like his last show at Gelredome in 2012, still talked about today in The Netherlands.”
Although he has not performed a full concert in Europe in more than a decade, the 48-year-old held some listening parties for Vultures, his collaborative albums with Ty Dolla $ign, in 2023 and 2024, and his Sunday Service gospel choir performed in Paris in March 2020.
Kanye has fallen out of grace in recent years due to his antisemitic and racist remarks, which cost him lucrative business deals and partnerships.
Last month, he took out a full-page advert in The Wall Street Journal to apologise to both Jewish and Black communities for his controversial comments. He attributed some of his past behaviour to his bipolar disorder diagnosis and a car accident 25 years ago that he claimed damaged his frontal lobe.
He later insisted to Vanity Fair that his apology wasn’t an attempt at “reviving (his) commerciality”, adding, “This is because these remorseful feelings were so heavy on my heart and weighing on my spirit.”
His next album, Bully, has been delayed several times and is now slated for release on 20 March.
Tickets to the Arnhem show go on general sale on Friday.
