Bianca Censori has reportedly been called to testify in a trial between a contractor and her husband Kanye West over the renovation of his Malibu home.
Tony Saxon, who has been involved in a legal dispute with the rapper since 2023, has filed court documents calling on West’s wife Censori to testify in the upcoming trial, which is set for 21 February, according to TMZ.
While it is not immediately clear why Censori was named by Saxon as a potential witness, a 2024 report by The New Yorker indicated that the Australian architect had been involved as an intermediary at one point.
Saxon is suing the Stronger rapper over work he allegedly completed on his oceanfront Malibu mansion between September and November 2021. Saxon allegedly worked as a project manager, caretaker and security while carrying out West’s unique renovation requests.
According to Saxon, their arrangement went awry in November 2021 when he opposed some of West’s demands, such as demolishing the marble bathrooms and removing all the windows, plumbing and electricity.
Saxon allegedly pushed back against the idea of bringing in large generators inside the house, insisting that it would be a serious fire hazard, and West allegedly threatened him, saying he would be seen as “an enemy” if he didn’t execute his vision.
When Saxon refused, the hip-hop musician allegedly fired him on the spot and only paid him for one week of work.
He is suing West for several labour code violations, more than $1 million (£733,000) in unpaid wages, and damages.
The 48-year-old denied the allegations when he filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit in November 2023. In the documents, his lawyers insisted that West was not responsible for the damages and that Saxon carried out tasks he was unaware of.
Censori has been married to West since 2022.
