Katharine McPhee and David Foster are celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary.
The longtime couple marked the occasion by returning to London, where they married in 2019.
McPhee took to her Instagram Stories to share photos from the trip.
“Rennie’s parents 7 years later,” she captioned one photo, referring to their five-year-old son.
The couple married at London’s Armenian Church of Saint Yeghiche in South Kensington. McPhee also posted a throwback video from the ceremony on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Happy 7 year itch baby!”
The American Idol runner-up also shared a snap from an anniversary dinner, which she jokingly captioned, “We still like each other. Most days.”
When Katharine was asked by E! News to share the secret to making her marriage work, she quipped, “Therapy. A good therapist.
“Or that you just have someone in your life or another couple in your life that is helpful when there’s discord, disagreements.”
“I really feel like you can talk through most everything, but you have to have the language, the vocabulary to do that. So that takes practice and self-awareness and having skills to facilitate those conversations,” she continued.
The couple’s love story dates back to 2006. They first met when McPhee was a contestant on American Idol, and Foster was a guest mentor.
