TikTok has unveiled the nominees for its inaugural TikTok Awards, an upcoming event scheduled to be hosted in Los Angeles on Dec. 18.

More than 70 creators have been nominated across 14 categories, including Breakthrough Artist of the Year. As the sole music category at the moment, the batch of nominees is reflective of the launchpad TikTok has provided for new artists. Among them are Alex Warren, Katseye, Laufey, Ravyn Lenae, and Sombr.

Warren’s breakthrough single “Ordinary” spent 10 weeks at Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 this year. Katseye have racked up more than 14 million followers and over 693 million likes on TikTok, where more than 240,000 videos have been set to their single “Gnarly.”

Sombr recently made some enemies on the app, but his music has maintained its stronghold: “Back to Friends” has been used in over 906,000 videos, “12 to 12” in 239,000 videos, and “Would’ve Been You” in more than 259,000 videos.

Laufey has built an audience of 10 million users while sharing music and touring content. Meanwhile, Lenae has seen the rapid rise of her single “Love Me Not” thanks, in part, to its inclusion in over 500,000 videos on TikTok.

Fans can cast their vote for their favorite nominees across each category in the in-app TikTok Awards hub. Voting will open from Nov. 18 through Dec. 2 for Creator of the Year, Video of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, Storyteller of the Year, Muse of the Year, and more. Nominees in these categories include Alix Earle, Keith Lee, Caleb Hearon, Bretman Rock, Tineke “Tini” Younger, Coco Gauff, Paris Hilton, Angel Reese, Shay Mitchell, and more.

TikTok will also present honors for informational creators with the TikTok for Good Award, as well as creators in film and television with the My Show Is on Award. Sports will be recognized with the MVP of the Year award, fashion and beauty with the Okay Slay Award, and learning with the I Was Today Years Old Award.

More categories will be announced leading up to the start of the voting window.

The 2025 TikTok Awards will stream in-app on Dec. 18 beginning at 6 p.m. PST in addition to streaming live on Tubi. The show will be available on the streaming platform the following day, as well.
