Kelsea Ballerini has clapped back at a heckler during her Sydney headline show.
The country singer did not hold back after she was insulted during her gig in Sydney, Australia.
Kelsea, 32, was singing her song “Penthouse”, released in 2023 in the wake of her split from ex-husband Morgan Evans, when a heckler called out, “Team Morgan!”
Unwilling to let the comment slide, Kelsea interrupted her own song to announce she and her Australian ex, a fellow country singer, were both fine and didn’t need anyone’s support.
“F**k off,” she said. “Team ‘everyone is happy’ here.”
Later, Kelsea took to social media to further express her views on the subject, declaring she would remove the song from her shows entirely if she encountered the same behaviour again.
“Respectfully, if anyone yells anything disrespectful to anyone during this song again, it will no longer be on the setlist,” the singer wrote, in response to fans’ discussion of the incident.
“Please let this be a song that matters to people and not a place to insert yourself into a world that doesn’t exist and was never yours to begin with. team everyone’s happy or bust. please.”
