Kelsea Ballerini has stopped a concert mid-song to call out audiencegoers for slamming her ex-husband, Morgan Evans.
In a TikTok video taken by an attendee, the country star paused after fans started to scream obscenities during a performance of Penthouse, which features lyrics about moving on after the end of a relationship.
“Guys, we have to stop saying that,” she pleaded to fans during a show at Florida’s Hard Rock Live in Hollywood.
“Seriously, we’re three years past it, everything’s fine now,” added Ballerini, who filed for divorce from singer-songwriter Evans in August 2022 after nearly five years of marriage.
“I sing the song for you now, it’s not about me anymore, please,” the five-time Grammy Award nominee continued. “All right, for everyone that’s moving forward with their life, will you sing this with me?”
Ballerini is currently touring in support of her latest album, Patterns. The tour continues across North America before wrapping on 13 April in Toronto.
The Cowboys Cry Too singer is currently in a relationship with Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes. They first sparked dating rumours in January 2023 and went public with their romance on the red carpet at the CMT Awards in April that same year.
