Kneecap respond to Sharon Osbourne agreeing to attend Tommy Robinson anti-immigration march

Kneecap respond to Sharon Osbourne agreeing to attend Tommy Robinson anti-immigration march

Kneecap have responded to the news that Sharon Osbourne plans to attend Tommy Robinson’s upcoming anti-immigration march.

Earlier this week, the TV personality and widow of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne seemed to confirm that she will take part in the so-called ‘Unite The Kingdom’ rally in London’s Trafalgar Square next month, replying to a Robinson post by writing: “See you at the march”.

The news has prompted a response from Irish rap trio Kneecap – who have had run-ins with Osbourne in the past. The group quoted an opinion piece in the Metro that suggested that Osbourne’s attendance at the march will prove that Kneecap “were right about her”, and wrote simply: “Fuck @MrsSOsbourne”.

Osbourne was openly critical of Kneecap’s 2025 Coachella set, in which the group led chants after projecting the slogan “Fuck Israel, Free Palestine” and gave a passionate speech in support of Gaza.

It led to Osbourne calling for a “revocation of Kneecap’s work visa” and claiming that their performance “compromised” the festival’s “moral and spiritual integrity”. She later branded the trio as “pathetic”, “uneducated” and “full of hate”.

“They should follow the masters, who are U2,” she said. “Bono goes on, he talks about Palestine. He does it in peace. He’s pro-Palestine, that’s his opinion Bono, god bless him, but he does it in such a way that it doesn’t incite violence from a crowd.”

Kneecap’s Mo Chara responded by saying “statements aren’t aggressive, murdering 20,000 children is though”, adding: “Her rant has so many holes in it that it hardly warrants a reply, but she should listen to ‘War Pigs’ that was written by Black Sabbath”.

The group’s new album ‘Fenian’ is arriving on May 1 via Heavenly Recordings and will include the singles ‘Smugglers & Scholars’ and the Keir Starmer-taunting ‘Liars Tale’.

They also have a huge number of live shows coming up across the UK and Europe this summer, including slots at Crystal Palace Park in London in June – their biggest headline show to date – and festival slots at Primavera, Open’er, Roskilde, Reading & Leeds, and more. Visit here for tickets to all upcoming gigs.

The previous ‘Unite The Kingdom’ march, meanwhile, took place last September, drawing over 100,000 members of the public, with speeches from Robinson and Elon Musk among others. At least 25 people were arrested and 26 police officers were injured at the event.

By contrast, a major anti-far right march last month organised by the Together Alliance and reportedly brought half a million people took to the streets of central London to stand up for unity and to build public awareness about the growing threat of the far right in the UK and beyond.
