Lady Gaga and Doechii Set to Storm Charts with ‘Runway’ from The Devil Wears Prada 2

The fashion world and the music charts are colliding this week as Lady Gaga and Doechii look set to claim the highest new entry on the Official Singles Chart. Their high-octane collaboration, “Runway,” has made an immediate impact following its release on Friday, April 10.

A Cinematic Chart Debut

According to the Official Chart: First Look, which provides an early glimpse into the UK Top 20, “Runway” is currently sitting at Number 13. The track serves as a lead single from the soundtrack of the highly anticipated sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2, which is scheduled for a global release this May.

If the song maintains its current momentum through Friday’s final tally, it will mark Lady Gaga’s 34th UK Top 40 single and the fifth for rising rap star Doechii. The track’s early success is a testament to the enduring “Gaga” star power and the viral buzz surrounding the return of Miranda Priestly to the silver screen.

The Battle for the Summit

While Gaga and Doechii are the week’s biggest newcomers, the battle at the top remains fierce. Sam Fender and Olivia Dean continue their incredible run with the BRIT Award-winning behemoth “Rein Me In,” which is currently on track for an eighth non-consecutive week at Number 1.

However, they face stiff competition from Tame Impala. Their track “Dracula” is surging toward a new peak of Number 2, fueled by a high-profile remix featuring Jennie of BLACKPINK and a dominant viral trend on social media. Meanwhile, Alex Warren’s “Fever Dream” (3) and Sombr’s “Homewrecker” (5) are both hovering near their previous peaks, threatening to climb even higher by the weekend.

Coachella Climbers and Rising Talent

The Coachella festival has also left its mark on the midweeks. After a show-stopping live debut in the desert, KATSEYE’s “Pinky Up” is pacing to become their highest-charting UK hit yet, currently sitting at Number 15.

Rounding out the Top 40, British breakthrough artist Myles Smith is eyeing his sixth Top 40 entry with “My Mess” (26), while American soul sensation Teddy Swims looks likely to secure his fourth with “Mr. Know It All” (33).
