Lady Gaga has revealed she and her fiancé Michael Polansky are considering a courthouse wedding.
The pop star, who got engaged to Polansky on 1 April, has shared some of her modest wedding ideas.
“We actually talk about going to the courthouse just the two of us and ordering Chinese food,” Gaga, 38, said during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday. “But knowing me, also, it could become like a circus with unicorns.”
The A Star Is Born actress then went on to detail the sweet way the businessman proposed to her.
“He proposed to me right after my birthday (28 March),” she recalled. “So my birthday passed and I was like, ‘Well, I thought he was going to propose but then maybe…'”
Before he popped the question, Polansky treated Gaga to a “beautiful birthday dinner” and took her rock climbing, which she described as “super fun”.
When pressed further about the rock climbing, the Poker Face singer joked, “I’d do anything for love.”
Continuing with the proposal story, Gaga explained, “He didn’t propose to me at the top. We climbed up to the top… took some photos and then we went back down. And we were just walking back to the room and talking and he said… it was very Michael, to ask me if he could ask me.
“He wanted to know if it was OK to propose before he proposed and I was like, ‘Yes! It’s so OK!'”
Gaga added that Polansky didn’t get down on one knee, but insisted that’s not something a “modern lady” requires.
The singer, real name Stefani Germanotta, started dating the philanthropist in 2019.
