Lauryn Hill announces massive Diaspora Calling! festival for Milton Keynes with Wyclef Jean and more

Lauryn Hill has announced the massive Diaspora Calling! festival in Milton Keynes – see the first wave of names confirmed below.

The Fugees singer and rapper will take the festival dedicated to music and culture from the African diasopra to the Milton Keynes National Bowl on Friday August 7. Diaspora Calling! began in 2016, and has since hosted the likes of Nas, Kehlani, Noname and Little Simz on its roster.

It will be the first time the festival will be held in the UK, and Hill’s only confirmed UK performance for 2026.

So far, Hill has been announced as its headliner, with fellow Fugees member Wyclef Jean joining her on the bill. Hill’s sons YG Marley and Zion Marley – also the grandchildren of reggae icon Bob Marley – are also scheduled to play at the festival.

More additions to the lineup will be added soon, with Hill promising some “very special guests” to join the festival.

Tickets go on sale on March 31 at 9am – you can sign up here to snag yours.

Recently, Hill lead a tribute to the late D’Angelo and Roberta Flack at the 2026 Grammys’ ‘In Memoriam’ segment.

Hill previously worked with neo-soul icon D’Angelo on the collaborative track ‘Nothing Even Matters’, as part of her seminal 1998 solo album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ – which she told the crowd they never got to perform live together.

“We never had a chance to do this on stage together,” she said on the night. “Make time for people you love while you can,” she added, before introducing his band, The Vanguard, and launching into the performance.

Meanwhile, The Fugees’ cover of Flack’s ‘Killing Me Softly With His Song’ remains one of their biggest hits to date – which Hill performed at the Grammys.

Elsewhere, Lauryn Hill has been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 2026 – see the full list of names here.
