“It was incredible. It was incredible to see them back together again,” DiCaprio said

Leonardo DiCaprio was happy to witness a special moment at Oasis‘ show in Los Angeles earlier this month. In an interview with NME, the actor expressed his excitement about seeing the Gallagher brothers perform a cover of a Beatles‘ song in front of Paul McCartney himself.

“It was incredible. It was incredible to see them back together again,” he told the outlet. “And Paul McCartney was actually there, and I think they sang a Beatles song. I remember I was in the section next to him and the whole sort of stadium looked back at Paul and clapped for Paul too which was which was awesome.”

He added, “It was a great tip of the hat. So, it was a special night.”

Oasis, which is currently on their Live ’25 tour, snuck in a tribute to the Beatles during their song “Whatever,” performing a snippet of the Beatles’ “Octopus’ Garden” as McCartney watched from the audience.

“It was a great tour. Everyone’s so excited about it. Really, much like Radiohead when that happens, too,” said DiCaprio, gushing about his love for Radiohead as well. “I think everyone’s going to do their best to be there for those moments.”

The historic Oasis Live ’25 Tour will continue through November. The Gallagher brothers are scheduled to return to London for a pair of shows at Wembley this weekend, before heading to Asia, Australia, and South America.

Liam Gallagher spoke to Rolling Stone about discovering the Beatles and feeling connected to “Imagine” following John Lennon’s murder as a kid. When asked, “You said you’d be God, that’s the next highest thing to being in Oasis. So where would being in the Beatles rank on that list?” Gallagher responded, “It’s got to be being in Oasis, man.” What about being God versus the Beatles? “It’s got to be being in the Beatles,” he responded. “When was the last time God made a decent record?”
