Liam Gallagher teases setlist for future Oasis shows: “There’s loads more classics we need to play”

Liam Gallagher is continuing to tease more Oasis shows, saying there are “loads more classics” that could make it onto the setlist.

The Britpop band completed their huge Live ’25 reunion tour in Brazil last Sunday (November 23), after playing 41 shows across 142 days and five continents.

Having wrapped up their first gigs together in 16 years, Oasis confirmed that there would now be “a pause for a period of reflection” as fans anticipate their next move and speculate over another potential tour.

Earlier this month, Gallagher teased more shows on X/Twitter, writing: “I know things you don’t know.” This came in response to a fan who asked him if he was sad that the tour would be ending soon. He hinted at another run of concerts last month, saying: “It’s not even half time yet.”

During the group’s Wembley dates of their comeback run in September, he told the crowd: “See you next year”, before jokingly slapping himself on the wrist. However, Gallagher later said Oasis needed to “sit down and discuss” their plans first. “Next year might be a little enthusiastic,” he posted.

Now, LG has replied to numerous X/Twitter users who have pressed him on when Oasis will be hitting the road again. Some fans also asked about the setlist, which stayed the same throughout the entire Live ’25 tour.

“There’s loads more classics we need to play for you when we go out again,” Gallagher wrote in one tweet. “I mean happy Christmas.” He later replied to a fan’s proposed list of tunes for the next tour, writing: “Defo doing [‘The] Hindu Times’, ‘Colombia’ [sic] and ‘Go Let It Out’. I mean happy Christmas.”

Elsewhere, someone else asked if Oasis would be dusting off their 2008 single ‘The Shock Of The Lightning’ the next time around. “Defo doing that I mean happy Christmas,” he shared.

When a user asked Gallagher what he wanted for Christmas, he responded: “A European tour.” Oasis did not play any shows in mainland Europe this year, following their dates in the UK and Ireland.

“I’m allowed to dream just like you. I’m mad for OASIS touring Europe,” LG continued. “It’ll be BIBLICAL. I love Europe it’s my favorite country [sic].” He once again claimed that ‘Columbia’ from ‘Definitely Maybe’ would make it onto the setlist “on the next tour”.

After a follower told him that Live ’25 was “easily up there with the greatest tour of all time”, he wrote back: “Until the next 1 I mean thanks.” See the replies in the posts below.

Over the summer, Noel Gallagher‘s friend Matt Morgan revealed that the singer-songwriter had told him Oasis wouldn’t be switching up the tracks at their gigs this year.

“It’s mad that they’re doing the same set,” Morgan said. “I thought they would vary it slightly. I said to Noel, ‘Don’t you just want to mix it up?’ He said, ‘No, I like it like that’. He knows where he is. They bang it out.”

At the final concert last weekend, Liam told the audience: “We love you, thanks for all your energy. Take care of yourselves, and we’ll see you again sometime.”

Later, Noel’s daughter Anaïs Gallagher reflected on the “greatest year of my life, spent with the greatest people, soundtracked by the greatest band”. She wrote: “What was once thought impossible became possible. 41 shows. 142 days. A lifetime of memories.”

Current rumours for Oasis’ next run include a potential return to Knebworth, a homecoming residency at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, and further concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium.

A British peer in the House of Lords seemed to accidentally reveal that Oasis would play Knebworth next summer recently, before backtracking on the comments.

Oasis have released some official live versions of tracks from different cities on the Live ’25 tour. So far we’ve had ‘Slide Away’ from Cardiff, ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ from Manchester, ‘Little By Little’ from London, ‘Bring It On Down’ from Edinburgh and ‘Wonderwall’ from Dublin.

A new film documenting Oasis’ return and comeback trek is also in the works, produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. According to reports, the forthcoming project will contain some “phenomenal” footage of Liam and Noel’s first meeting ahead of the shows.

NME gave Oasis’ first 2025 concert at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium a glowing five-star review, writing: “After a ‘90s heyday and an often maligned post-millennium era, this is Oasis redesigned for the 21st Century.

“Playing before a pop-art-meets-psychedelia visual spectacular that never distracts but will look sick on a phone, they seem the quintessential stadium band playing the greatest hits of greatest hits.”
