Lil Nas X enters rehab following naked arrest

A lawyer for Lil Nas X has confirmed the Grammy-winning artist is “in treatment”.

The news comes following his arrest last month for battery of a police officer.

Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Hill, was charged with allegedly attacking police officers and resisting arrest while wandering naked in Los Angeles on 21 August.

Lawyers for the Old Town Road singer appeared in court in LA on Monday, and spoke outside the courthouse with Rolling Stone magazine.

“Obviously, you heard the treatment word,” his lawyer stated.

“We’re doing what is best for Montero from a personal standpoint and a professional standpoint, but most importantly for his well-being.

“He is surrounded by an amazing family, an amazing team of people that care about him and love him. We’re just addressing those issues. It’s really as simple as that. He’s had a great life, he’ll continue to have a great life. This is a bump that he’s gonna get over.”

Hill has pleaded not guilty to four felony charges. His next court date is set for 18 November.

He addressed the arrest on his social media accounts, writing, “S**t. That was f**king terrifying. That was terrifying! That was a terrifying last four days, but your girl is going to be alright.”
