Wet Leg have shared a new remix of ‘mangetout’ by The Dare. Check it out below.

The fresh spin on the Isle of Wight duo’s 2025 single transforms it into a massive dancefloor banger. Complete with a strutting bassline, gooey lead synth and snappy percussion, the frenetic cut brings an infectious party energy courtesy of The Dare (real name Harrison Smith).

Wet Leg formed a relationship with the Californian producer and musician after they played a DJ set together at an afterparty in Austin, Texas. The Dare, who has collaborated with the likes of Charli XCX, is known for his party-driven style that blends dance-punk, electroclash and indie.

His reimagining of ‘mangetout’ arrives on the heels of Wet Leg being nominated for two awards at the BRITs 2026: Group Of The Year and Alternative/Rock Act.

The original version of the song appears on Wet Leg’s second album, ‘Moisturizer’, which landed at Number 22 in NME’s 50 best albums of 2025 list, and reached Number One in the UK chart. ‘mangetout’ came in at Number 39 in our 50 best songs of the year feature, too.

“A lost Strokes classic? A forgotten ‘Youth & Young Manhood’-era Kings Of Leon banger? ‘Mangetout’ could have passed for either,” the entry read. “Except, of course, with its surreal imagery (seemingly inspired by Jack and the Beanstalk), saucy lyrics and sassy pay-off (“Get lost forever”), this indie anthem is quintessential Wet Leg. Chef’s kiss!”

The duo have previously dropped remixes by the likes of Soulwax and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and released their own reworking of Depeche Mode’s ‘Wagging Tongue’.

Wet Leg are currently out on the road in Australia, and will return to the US in April for Coachella 2026. The band are due to play their biggest UK shows yet this summer with a series of outdoor dates, including London’s Alexandra Palace Park. Find any remaining tickets here.

Wet Leg will also play sets at Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound, Rock En Seine, All Things Go Toronto, OpenAir St. Gallen Festival and Hinterland Festival, and open for Alanis Morissette in Glasgow.

Towards the end of last year, Wet Leg revealed that their third studio album was already “done”.

The Dare, meanwhile, caught up with NME at Reading Festival 2025. He spoke about new music, working with Charli XCX on ‘Guess’, his love of LCD Soundsystem, the meaning of ‘indie sleaze’, and more.

“I’m just trying to have more fun, incorporate more diverse influences, have more friends and collaborators involved,” he said of his approach to new material, adding that he wouldn’t be taking it too “seriously”. When asked about a potential new album in 2026, he responded: “I guess it’ll be a surprise, but possibly yeah.”
