Little Simz has a new EP just around the corner. Sugar Girl, her first release since last year’s Lotus, arrives next Friday, May 8, via AWAL. She shared a teaser, with a verse from an unreleased song, via Instagram yesterday. Watch that below.
Sugar Girl is the latest in a string of stopgap EPs from Simz, the last of which was Drop 7 in 2024, just over a year after No Thank You. Since Lotus, she has helmed an edition of London’s prestigious Meltdown festival, toured North America, and acted alongside Cillian Murphy in Steve, the Netflix movie adapted from Max Porter’s Shy.
