Lola Young announces live return with intimate London Palladium show for next month

Lola Young has announced her live return with an intimate gig at London’s Palladium, taking place next month.

The upcoming slot will take place on Wednesday March 4, and will be the first headline performance from the former NME Cover star this year. It also marks her return to the stage after cancelling a tour in 2025 to recover from exhaustion.

Designed as a one-off event, the Palladium show will see the ‘Messy’ singer ease her way back into performing and reconnect with her fans in a live capacity. There will be limited capacity and high demand expected, and tickets go on sale next Wednesday (February 11) at 10am GMT.

“I’m going to be playing my first headline show in a while. Performing live is everything to me and asking you, my fans to show up for me after cancelling my tour is something I don’t take for granted,” Young said. “I’m aware that with this being a one-off show that I can’t accommodate tickets for everyone who bought them previously. I can only hope that in time when I’m able to play bigger shows that you’ll still be willing.”

“Thank you all so much for believing in me, and giving me this time and space. Love you all,” she added.

The gig will see Young deliver a stripped-back yet emotionally charged performance, showcasing material from new album ‘I’m Only Fucking Myself’ alongside earlier favourites. Visit here for tickets.

Already 2026 is proving to be a huge year for the London-born singer, as she took home her first Grammy at last weekend’s ceremony, winning for Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Messy’, and also performed at the event.

She has been handpicked by Elton John to perform at his historic AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on March 15 too, and is also one of the most nominated artists at this year’s BRIT Awards. For the latter, she has received nods in Artist of the Year, Breakthrough Artist, Mastercard Song of the Year (for ‘Messy’), Alternative/Rock Act, and Pop Act categories.

News of Young taking a hiatus from playing live was shared last year when she shared a message with fans and told them she’d be “going away” for a while after she collapsed on stage in New York City from exhaustion.

Following the gig, Young took to Instagram to reassure fans that she was “doing okay” after being carried off stage by a medical team, but later announced that she would be pulling out of her Washington DC set at All Things Go the next day.

She was also due to embark on a UK tour in the autumn, but went on to take a break from all commitments for the “foreseeable future” to focus on her mental wellbeing.

Among those who shared support for her after the announcement were SZA, who said that she was “grateful” for Young’s music and honesty, and Victoria Canal, who made a lengthy post of her own about how “unhealthy” it can be mentally to be a musician on the road.
