Singer’s new album releases November 15
Mary J. Blige is in a giving mood. During an appearance on Sherri Shepherd’s daytime talk show, Sherri on Monday, the singer announced both a new album, Gratitude, and an upcoming headlining tour.
The album, out November 15, follows her 2022 record Good Morning Gorgeous. When asked about the significance of the album’s title, Blige reflected warmly on her decades-long career.
“I mean, look at my life right now,” she said. “I’m in a constant state of gratitude. I feel good. I have jobs and opportunities. I’m healthy. My family’s healthy. I have people around who care for me and love me and I have amazing fans. I am so grateful to my fans for all the years of love they given to me, and support.”
And with that sense of gratitude comes the urge to give back. Blige said she is hitting the road for an upcoming trek appropriately titled For My Fans. The tour, which begins January 2025, will feature R&B crooner Mario and hitmaker Ne-Yo. Official dates are to be announced at a later time.
“When it’s all said and done, it’s never all said and done, I owe my fans a gratitude I can’t put into words, so I put it into a show,” Blige wrote on Instagram. “The For My Fans Tour coming soon, see you there.”
Presale tickets for her upcoming tour will be available Sept 26 at 11 p.m. E.T. General sale for the “For My Fans Tour” has not been announced.
