M.I.A. Launches M.I.7 With New Song “Everything”

M.I.A. is back with M.I.7: The follow-up to 2022’s Mata arrives April 17 via her own OhmniMusic label. Featuring the Sunday Service gospel choir, M.I.7 is a “gospel record rooted in prayer, the Book of Revelation, and the Ark of the Covenant,” according to a press release that stresses her pivot to Christianity. The album supposedly comprises seven “songs,” but is broken into 16 tracks, listed below. One is called “Everything,” and you can listen to that right now.

M.I.A. is preparing to hit the road this spring with Kid Cudi on his Rebel Ragers tour, as well as relaunching her Ohmni clothing collection. The M.I.7. album title is twofold: yes, it’s her seventh album, and yes, MI7 is a discontinued branch of UK military propaganda. Plus ça change…

M.I.7:

01 Trumpet 1
02 Prayer 777
03 Trumpet 2
04 a. Jesus
05 b. Sacred Heart
06 Trumpet 3
07 Money
08 Trumpet 4
09 Circle
10 Trumpet 5
11 Calling
12 Trumpet 6
13 Ride the Sky
14 Trumpet 7
15 Everything.
