Madonna teases Confessions on a Dance Floor album sequel

Madonna is getting ready to release her new dance music album.

Last September, the Queen of Pop announced that she had signed a deal with Warner Records and had plans to unveil a “follow-up” to 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor.

And on Tuesday, Madonna wiped her Instagram page and added a link to her website, which now features a provocative image of her legs and a stereo speaker.

In an Instagram Stories post, a clip of the words Confessions II flash up in bold text, with a snippet of instrumental music serving as the soundtrack.

While her bio has been changed to read, “Time goes by so slowly…” – a reference to a lyric in her 2005 song, Hung Up, which also featured on Confessions on a Dance Floor.

Representatives for Madonna have not yet shared any further details, such as the exact release date.

Previously, the Ray of Light hitmaker confirmed that she was reuniting with producer Stuart Price on the project.

Reflecting on returning to Warner Records last year, the Material Girl star noted that it felt like a full-circle moment.

“From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles, it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again, and in fact, that couldn’t have been truer,” the 67-year-old said at the time. “Since the beginning, Warner Records has been a real partner with me. I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations.”

Madonna unveiled her fourteenth studio album, Madame X, in 2019, and the remix album, Veronica Electronica, in July 2025.
