Massive Attack have teamed up with Bohemian F.C. to launch a new football shirt. Find all the details below.

The trip-hop duo’s partnership with the Dublin team – one of the world’s oldest fan-owned clubs – sees them unveil the 2026 FAI Cup/Third jersey, raising funds for medical aid to Cuba.

Thirty per cent of profits will be shared between the Cuba Solidarity Campaign’s Cuba Vive Medical Aid Appeal and mediCuba-Europa.

Per a press release, the new shirt “brings together two of people’s greatest loves, music and football, in support of the Cuban people as they continue to endure a brutal illegal blockade enforced by the United States”.

The jersey was designed by Massive Attack alongside Bohemian F.C. designers, paying homage to historic Cuban kits and to the connection between Cuba and Ireland.

The body of the item displays thick khaki and black stripes with a red neck V shape centred by a large white star taken from the Cuban flag, La Estrella Solitaria, symbolising absolute independence, liberty and sovereignty for the Cuban people.

Massive Attack’s band logo is on the front, with the stripes adorning the words of Che Guevara’s historic address. The crest is in the Irish language, featuring the lyrics “love is a doing word“, from the duo’s classic hit ‘Teardrop’.

The collar and cuffs are woven in the Bohemian F.C. colours black and red, while each sleeve boasts three stitched stripes. An embroidered hem tag shows Dublin artist Jim Fitzpatrick’s iconic image of Guevara alongside his signature.

On the back of the shirt, beneath the collar, is the Massive Attack flame symbol with the words of Guevara’s father: “In my son’s veins flowed the blood of the Irish rebels.” Buy yours here.

Massive Attack said: “We’re proud to follow the tradition of musicians who’ve collaborated with Bohemian F.C. to support a fan-owned football club, at the same time drawing attention to important social or political issues.

“The strip design references the Irish connection to Che Guevara in terms of his ancestry and the iconic two-tone graphic created by Dublin artist Jim Fitzpatrick. It reproduces text of Che’s speeches that underline the importance of international solidarity in resisting colonial, and neo-colonial, imperialist aggressions. His words still contain resonance for the political struggles of today.”

They continued: “Our nominated charities arrange urgent shipments of medical aid to Cuba, where vital hospital supplies are threatened by the Trump administration’s blockade of the island, an illegal act of collective punishment of the Cuban people.”

Daniel Lambert, Chief Commercial Officer at Bohemian F.C., said: “We are delighted to unveil this jersey following months of work with Massive Attack and their team.”

Natasha Hickman, Cuba Vive Medical Aid Appeal, commented: “The US blockade is driving Cuba’s deepest humanitarian crisis in decades, and the need for medical aid has never been greater.

“With infant mortality having doubled in recent years due to worsening shortages of medical supplies and fuel, Cuba Vive is helping to save lives by delivering vital aid to hospitals across the island.

“The Cuban people need solidarity, not sanctions. Together, we can break the US blockade and help save lives.”

Massive Attack follow in the footsteps of Oasis, Fontaines D.C., Kneecap and Jazzy in joining forces with Bohemian F.C. to launch a special kit. Daniel Lambert is also Kneecap’s manager.

In other news, Massive Attack have been banned from re-entering Singapore after the group displayed a Palestinian flag at a recent concert. They said earlier this month that the “entire band was detained by the police, isolated and separately questioned – with some members subjected to hotel room searches and temporary passport confiscation”.

The duo went on to say that the “surreal” experience was “a reminder of the importance of defending universal human rights and freedom of expression wherever those rights are threatened”. Massive Attack reiterated their opposition to the UK government’s choice to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist group, too.

Massive Attack, who have boycotted performing in Israel since 1999, issued a statement supporting Kneecap last year, after it was announced that the Irish trio were under investigation by counter-terrorism police in the UK.

The case against Kneecap’s Mo Chara was dropped last September due to a technicality relating to the way in which it was brought about. At the time, the Chief Magistrate told the court that the charge was “unlawful” and “null”.
