Rapper Luce Cannon claimed he once kidnapped the Dreams and Nightmares artist
Meek Mill has shot down a claim made by imprisoned rapper Luce Cannon that he and some folks once kidnapped Mill over his posts on Twitter.
In a clip from DJ Akademiks’ podcast, Cannon — who’s part of the Rollin’ 60s Crip gang and is behind bars for federal charges surrounding a RICO case — claimed that Ross paid off a $50,000 ransom to release Mill. The “Levels” rapper was quick to reject the narrative, sharing a screenshot of the article and laughing off the allegation in a post.
“This guy must be using a story to confuse his indictment because I never seen him B4 …I woulda put him to ‘gods test’ on the spot!” Mill wrote on X. “I never even met buddy but I don’t ‘negotiate’ with fake thugs… ask him what chain because all my chains some shit lol watches all 300k up vibes.”
Mill continued by calling out the “fake hip hop pages” who shared the news, saying that rumors spread like that “work for kids not for grown men.” He also said that he’s well respected by the West Coast. “I carry myself in an open arms [way] to build my people up ion care where you from… that’s why you seen my around NIPSEY and others … men of respect and honor!” Mill wrote.
The artist assured that he, along with YG and Mustard, stepped away from the “East Coast West Coast narrative,” opting instead for peace. “I changed my life by blessings …. but i always been down to meet up with ‘fake street bullies’ in [abandoned] areas where it’s no civilians and take they heart!” he wrote.
A rep for Mill did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.
According to Billboard, Big U and Luce Cannon, who made the claim, are accused of racketeering, extortion, human trafficking, fraud, and the murder of a 21-year-old aspiring rapper.
