Meet the Five Artists Selected for BMAC x America250 “Voices of Tomorrow” Initiative

Written by: News Room Last updated: June 12, 2026

Selected from a nationwide pool of applicants, the five artists chosen for BMAC x America250’s “Voices of Tomorrow” initiative represent a mix of creators who have forged their own paths, built communities around their work, and remained committed to authentic self-expression. Spanning Country, R&B, hip-hop, funk and beyond, the cohort is united by a willingness to chart its own course—whether through independent careers, creative community-building, or expanding artistry beyond music. Together, their journeys across genres, disciplines and geographies offer a snapshot of where Black music is headed next.

“As America approaches its 250th anniversary, we have a responsibility to ask not only where we’ve been, but who will define where we’re going. These artists are more than talented musicians…they are storytellers, culture makers, and architects of the future, says Willie “Prophet” Stiggers, the Co-Founder, President & CEO of BMAC. “Their voices reflect the richness, diversity, and evolution of Black music in America. Through this initiative, BMAC is investing in creators who remind us that music remains one of our nation’s greatest forces for connection, truth, and progress.”

Ahead of the initiative’s Juneteenth celebration, the artists will travel to New York for a week of mentorship, networking opportunities and cultural programming designed to help elevate the next phase of their careers.

Dani Wright courtesy of. BMAC

Among them is New Orleans native Dani Wright, whose career has unfolded across multiple creative disciplines. After getting her start singing in church, Wright built a reputation as a songwriter and recording artist, collaborating with an impressive roster of writers and producers while navigating an industry where she rarely saw artists who looked like her occupying the Country space she loved. Her creative ambitions eventually expanded beyond music into television and film, where she now develops projects while continuing to center storytelling in all its forms.

DJ Stussy courtesy of BMAC

Los Angeles artist DJ Stussy has spent much of his life immersed in music. A drummer since childhood, he later taught himself piano and production before attending Miles College on a choir scholarship. His experiences as both an educator and artist have become a recurring theme in his work, helping him connect with audiences through songs that blend humor, perspective and lived experience. In recent years, viral moments online have introduced a broader audience to his music, but community impact remains at the center of his story.

Jastin Martin courtesy of BMAC

For Jastin Martin, independence has become a defining part of her artistry. The Houston singer-songwriter, producer and guitarist has quietly built a devoted following through emotionally transparent songwriting and a hands-on creative process. Recently named a Billboard Artist to Watch, Martin writes, produces and helps shape nearly every aspect of her releases, creating music that feels intimate and deeply personal while resonating with listeners far beyond her immediate circle.

RAHBI courtesy of BMAC

Atlanta’s RAHBI arrives with a résumé that extends well beyond recording music. Known for his genre-blending approach to funk and soul, he has become a fixture in the city’s creative community through STRANGE, the live music series he founded to celebrate individuality and artistic freedom. His work as a music director across theater, television and performance spaces reflects an artist equally invested in building platforms for others as he is in developing his own craft.

The Reasn courtesy of BMAC

Rounding out the class is The Reasn, the Columbia, Missouri-born singer-songwriter whose soulful vocals and cinematic approach to R&B have earned him opportunities to tour nationally and perform on major platforms. His recent music marks a period of reflection and renewal, drawing from personal experiences, challenges and growth to create songs that prioritize honesty over trend-chasing. The result is a body of work rooted in connection, vulnerability, and self-discovery.

Together, the five artists offer a snapshot of the many ways today’s emerging talent is defining success on its own terms. Through different sounds, backgrounds and creative paths, each brings a unique perspective to BMAC x America250 “Voices of Tomorrow” initiative—and to the future of American music.
