The artist teased the upcoming release with a 30-second instrumental video of her playing guitar
The 30-second trailer for Miley (no last name)’s upcoming 10th album, Bass Persuades, is full of mysteries. Why is she playing a Fender Stratocaster and not a P-Bass? Why is no guitar audible? Why is it synth-driven dance music and what does it have to do with the way she swings the guitar’s neck? Why isn’t there even a single? When did Miley (no last name) become mysterious in the first place? What happened to her last name? All could be revealed by Sept. 18 when the 10-song album comes out.
The artist’s label says the album signals a new era in which Miley (no last name) will honor the influence of her godmother, Dolly Parton. But why wouldn’t she?
What’s more exciting, though, is that Miley (no last name) will perform her first full concerts in the U.S. since 2021 this fall when she headlines two nights at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 16 and 18. Model/Actriz will open the dates. Tickets will be available generally on Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster, though presales begin a couple of days earlier.
“It’s been a while,” Miley (no last name) commented on Instagram. “The Hollywood Bowl is my favorite place to experience music and see my favorite artists. I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage. L.A. is my heart and I’m bringing it home. See you there.”
The artist formerly known as Miley Cyrus and pseudonymously known as Hannah Montana routinely makes one-off appearances, mostly at awards shows. In 2023, she explained that her lack of touring shouldn’t reflect on how she feels about her fans. “Performing for YOU has been some of the best days of my life & we will continue this journey together as we have for the last almost two decades,” she said. “This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans & everything to do with I simply don’t want to get ready in a locker room… I just don’t want to sleep on a moving bus.”
