90s Aus Pop Star Backing Darren Hayes |

Sharon Muscat, of Sister2Sister fame alongside Christine Muscat, is joining Darren Hayes on his upcoming Do You Remember? tour at home and in the UK. The Australian tour kicks off on 31 January in Perth, before heading to Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane.

Sharing her delight on social media, the singer expressed her memories of opening for Savage Garden‘s US tour before sharing the news about the upcoming gigs. “IT’S HAPPENINGGG!!! Rehearsals start TODAY! 23 years ago [Christine Muscat] & I supported [Savage Garden] on dates of their USA tour and it was a really special moment for us!

“Aaand now …. I am very excited to be going on the road with [Darren Hayes] as backing vocalist for these ‘Do You Remember’ shows both here and in the UK.

“Not going to lie, I’m definitely fangirling over this iconic voice and these iconic tunes from both SG and Darren’s solo catalogue. This new era is a defining moment and I’m really grateful to be on board. LET’S GOOOO”.

Yesterday, she shared a photo of dance rehearsals with Hayes and revealed that she was out of her comfort zone (in a good way).

Forming in the late ‘90s, Sister2Sister’s debut album One contained charting singles Sister, What’s A Girl To Do? and Too Many Times

Darren Hayes announced the Do You Remember? tour last year. More recently, Bachelor Girl was announced as the support act. In 2018, the popular group returned with new music.

On what was the 20th anniversary of their hit debut single, Buses & Trains, the Aussie act made their return with the announcement of new music.

Tania Doko and James Roche confirmed brand new track, Speak, set for release in June 2018.

“I feel strongly that Speak is the first offering back for the band – personally, it’s a wake-up call and hopefully a three-minute-30 reminder out there that we’re humans, not just hashtags,” Doko said of the song.

Roche added, “Imagine our world if we develop a group agreement that speaking the truth and acting with integrity is normal”.

Making a huge return to Australian stages after over a decade, Hayes’ shows will be an amazing nostalgia trip through the Brisbane band’s biggest hits including To The Moon & Back, Truly Madly Deeply, I Knew I Loved You, I Want You and so many more. Hayes will also break out his banging solo material including tracks from his latest album, Homosexual, and throwbacks Pop!ular and Insatiable. Find tickets here.

Easily one of the country’s most decorated artists of all time, since the world first uttered ‘chicka cherry cola’ Savage Garden and Hayes have clocked up 30 million albums sold globally, 2x chart-topping singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, 14x ARIA Awards, 10x APRA songwriting awards, 5x Top 10 albums and 9x Top 10 singles.
