Mogwai have announced a massive 2025 tour of Europe, Asia, and North America, and shared their first song in more than two years. Produced by John Congleton, “God Gets You Back” features lyrics from guitarist Barry Burns’ seven-year-old daughter after he experienced writer’s block. The song comes with a video directed by Hand Held Cine Club, which you can watch below.
The 2025 tour begins on February 4 in Amsterdam and brings the renowned post-rock band to North America in the spring after dates across Asia, with major stops including Brooklyn, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Tokyo, Bangkok, and Toronto along the way. The lengthy run comes to an end on May 4 in Dallas. Find their complete list of tour dates below.
The most recent Mogwai album, As the Love Continues, came out in 2021. Since then, they have premiered Mogwai: If the Stars Had a Sound—a documentary about the band directed by longtime collaborator Antony Crook—at SXSW in Austin, Texas earlier this year.
