A Staffordshire woman who claimed to have highly sought-after tickets for the Oasis reunion tour has admitted to multiple counts of fraud, having swindled approximately £4,000 from victims, including close friends and family.

Rosie Slater, 32, of Betley, Newcastle-under-Lyme, appeared before North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday where she pleaded guilty to 11 charges of fraud by false representation.

The court heard that in May 2025, the mother-of-three began offering tickets and VIP box access for the rock band’s highly anticipated shows at Wembley Stadium, scheduled for August. She marketed the tickets, priced between £130 and £160 each, through various WhatsApp chat groups. Victims, who were under the false impression they had secured entry, even made travel bookings for the gigs before realizing they had been scammed.

Slater’s solicitor described the situation as a “sad tale,” telling the court the deception was motivated by a desire “to be popular,” and that the lie had simply run away from her. While she did have a “genuine link” to a VIP box, she did not have the tickets she sold.

The court heard the fraud was particularly distressing as it targeted people close to Slater. Despite having no previous criminal record, magistrates were told Slater has been diagnosed with mental health conditions.

Rosie Slater was released on unconditional bail and is due to return to North Staffordshire Justice Centre to be sentenced on 6 April 2026.
