Mumford & Sons secure fourth chart-topping album with Prizefighter

Mumford & Sons claim their fourth Official Number 1 album, and second in less than a year, with Prizefighter, making Official Chart history in the process.

The sixth studio collection from Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett and Ted Dwayne becomes the UK’s landmark 1400th Official Number 1 album ever in the year the Official Albums Chart celebrates its 70th anniversary.

Prizefighter joins 2012’s Babel, 2015 LP Wilder Mind and 2025’s Rushmere in Mumford & Sons’ tally of chart-toppers. 2009 debut Sigh No More and 2018 release Delta both peaked at Number 2.

Shifting the most copies in UK independent record shops this over the past seven days, Prizefighter also comes in at Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart.

Martin Talbot, Chief Executive, Official Charts, comments:
“Congratulations to Mumford & Sons on registering this historic landmark with their fourth Official Number 1 album. It is an appropriate moment for us to be marking this staging point in the history of the Official Albums Chart, which celebrates its 70th birthday this summer.”

Look out for a season of Official Albums Chart anniversary activity this summer, anchored around the main event in July.
Olivia Dean’s BRITs Mastercard Album of the Year-nominated The Art of Loving secures a 22nd consecutive week inside the Top 5, which it hasn’t departed since its release in September 2025 (2). Can it scoop the ceremony’s most coveted award this weekend?

She’s Burning Up! Leigh-Anne lands her first-ever solo Top 5 album with My Ego Told Me To, straight in at Number 3. It’s Leigh-Anne’s eighth Top 10 record overall, having already secured seven as a member of Little Mix.

It means all three members of Little Mix have now achieved the same Official Albums Chart peak with their respective debut solo releases. JADE’s THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! and Perrie’s self-titled project Perrie both charted at Number 3 last year.

What’s more, My Ego Told Me To also debuts at Number 1 on the Official Independent Albums Chart.

Celebrating the feat, Leigh-Anne tells Official Charts:
“We’ve done it, we got a Top 3! My album is at Number 3 on the Official Chart, this is crazy. We made history, wow!
“I’m so grateful for everyone that’s streamed, bought a copy and made this possible for me. It’s just amazing, thank you so much.

“I’m also Number 1 on the Official Independent Albums Chart. What? This is mad! I’m so grateful, I’m so happy. Thank you! We did it!”

Following its reissue on vinyl and CD formats, George Michael’s 1987 solo debut Faith returns to the Top 10 for the first time in 38 years (3). The album, which houses six UK Top 40 singles, celebrates its 40th anniversary next year. The best-selling record on wax this week, Faith also tops the Official Vinyl Albums Chart.

Huge congratulations go to Hilary Duff, who secures a personal best with her sixth studio project luck… or something (5). Previously, Hilary’s enjoyed UK Albums Chart success with 2003 debut Metamorphosis (69), 2005’s Most Wanted (31), 2007 record Dignity (25) and 2015’s Breathe In. Breathe Out. (91).

With the cinematic release of Baz Luhrmann’s EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert movie, Elvis Presley earns a 96th Top 40 album with EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (17).

Our final new entry comes courtesy of Baby Keem, who banks a personal best with his first Top 40 LP Ca$ino (29). The Californian rapper and record producer, born Hykeem Jamaal Carter Jr., previously charted with 2021 release The Melodic Blue (49).
