Myles Smith has won the 2025 BRITs Rising Star Award.
The 26-year-old British singer will be presented with his award during the annual BRIT Awards ceremony on 1 March 2025.
Myles, who was shortlisted alongside British duo Good Neighbours and R&B/soul singer Elmiene, follows in the footsteps of famed Rising Star winners Sam Fender, Adele, Sam Smith, Florence + The Machine and Ellie Goulding, and this year’s recipient, The Last Dinner Party.
“Winning the BRIT award for Rising Star is such a surreal moment,” Miles gushed in a statement. “Music has always been about connecting with people, and to see it resonate on this level is incredible.
“I’m so grateful to my team, my family, and especially the fans who’ve supported me every step of the way. Your belief in me means everything. This is just the beginning, and I’m so excited for what’s to come – thank you for being part of this journey.”
Myles found out he had won the award during a live appearance on BBC Radio 1’s New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
“You’re having me on,” the Stargazing hitmaker replied, before phoning his mum, who said she was “so incredibly proud”.
The artist started out singing in pubs and bars before uploading covers to TikTok and shot to viral fame with his version of The Neighbourhood’s Sweater Weather.
After dropping a string of stand-alone singles, Myles released his breakthrough single Stargazing in May this year. The track peaked at number four in the U.K., spent nine consecutive weeks in the top 10, and has racked up more than 253 million streams worldwide on Spotify.
The BRIT Awards 2025 will be held at the O2 Arena in London on 1 March.
