Netflix announces “intimate” Kylie Minogue documentary, shares first-look image

Netflix has announced details of their upcoming Kylie Minogue documentary – take a first look below.

The streaming giant is set to release a three-part series on the Australian pop legend in June. The documentary is helmed by director Michael Harte (BECKHAM, Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie) and produced by John Battsek’s Ventureland (The Deepest Breath, WHAM!, BECKHAM).

Along with exclusive interviews with Minogue herself, the “intimate” series will also feature footage from home movies and personal photographs. Dannii Minogue, Jason Donovan, Nick Cave, and Pete Waterman are also set to feature in the series.

Though Netflix haven’t shared the exact date for the documentary’s release, the company shared in a press release: “The documentary shows the woman behind the hits. It examines how she’s faced public scrutiny, personal loss, and illness with grit and grace, earning respect far beyond her own fandom.

“The docuseries celebrates the joy, connection, and euphoria that make Kylie unmistakably Kylie.”

The @kylieminogue documentary is officially happening.

After literal years of reports, Netflix announced ‘KYLIE’ today, a three-part documentary series, along with sharing a first look still. (No release date set just yet.)

NME last caught up with Minogue in 2025, where she spoke to us about the potential of new music this year.

“I’ve been thinking about it just quietly, in the background,” she told us. “With these guys [who I am working with now], we always talk about ‘Oh, remember this one we started and we really didn’t get to finish it’. That discussion is always in the background, and I will have a micro break over Christmas and come back to it. Making music is my hobby and it’s a happy place for me, so I will.”

She added that the music most likely would not follow the dance-pop sound of her last albums ‘Tension‘ and ‘Tension II‘, explaining: “I like to stay very non-committal, even in my mind, about where I would go with new music. I don’t actually know how I could describe it.”

In other news, Kylie Minogue and Prince’s lost song ‘Baby Doll’ has leaked online 32 years after it was created.
