Oasis have announced a “pause” as they reflect on their Live ’25 reunion tour, which ended in Brazil last night.

The band’s 41-date tour began in Cardiff on 4 July and saw them perform around Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.

“And so it came to pass,” the band wrote in a message to fans, before quoting journalist Simon Price: “The most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history found its way into the hearts and minds of a new generation. From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten.”

“There will now be a pause for a period of reflection,” they signed off.

At last night’s show, the second of two dates in São Paulo, the band stuck to the same setlist they played at each of the 41 dates on the tour.

Fans shared a heartwarming moment when frontman Liam Gallagher handed brother Noel his tambourine and maracas before the pair hugged.

Despite a fractious relationship, which saw the band break up in 2009, they’ve frequently embraced each other and shared jokes on stage throughout this tour.

Rhythm guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, who joined back up with Oasis for their South American dates after taking a break for prostate cancer treatment, reflected on 2025 as “the best year of my life” on Instagram this morning.

Bassist Andy Bell also posted on Instagram, writing “Thank you all” alongside a heart emoji.

Rumours of more tour dates next year have been rife in recent months. At one Wembley show in September, Liam told fans “See you next year,” before jokingly slapping himself on the wrist.
