Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger will give fans a completely unguarded look at Liam and Noel Gallagher’s reunion, captured through hidden cameras.

Directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace say they kept the setup as discreet as possible to avoid disrupting the brothers’ dynamic as they reunited for rehearsals ahead of the Oasis Live ’25 tour – their first shows in 16 years after finally ending their long-running feud.

The pair installed a concealed camera rig inside a London studio so the Gallaghers could rehearse without seeing any crew.

Southern told Billboard magazine: “The band would never see a single member of the film crew.”

Even the footage was streamed to a separate room: “I don’t think Liam even realised there were cameras there for the first week.”

The film combines those early sessions with footage from the band’s 2025 world tour and the brothers’ first joint interview in more than two decades.

Southern says the emotional impact of the reunion became clear from the first show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4, 2025.

He said: “When the lights came up at the end of the first concert in Cardiff, we have a sequence where you just see people looking shell-shocked, like they’ve been through every possible emotion.

“We knew this was going to be big, but it’s on a different level emotionally than what we’d thought.”

Southern added that fan reaction played a major role in the brothers’ shift in tone.

He said: “Then, as the film progresses, you see the music bringing [the brothers] together

“The [fan] reaction is a huge catalyst in where they end up in terms of their relationship by the end of the film.”

The crew filmed almost the entire tour – 41 shows across 14 countries.

Southern says they were encouraged to follow the crowd: “If there’s a face or someone having a moment or there seems to be a story unfolding – shoot it.”

The directors settled on the title late in production when they realised the film was all about the siblings reconciling.

Southern explained: “Our hope was to make a film about reconciliation and forgiveness.

“And I think it’s ultimately about those things – and the breakthrough moments that happened throughout.”

Advance tickets are now available for purchase at Fandango (https://www.fandango.com/OasisDontLookBackInAnger) or wherever tickets are sold for the September 11 release.

Additionally, special limited IMAX Early Access Screenings will take place in the US and Canada on Wednesday, September 9. Tickets for this exclusive engagement are also available now (https://www.fandango.com/OasisDontLookBackInAngerIMAXEAS).

The two-hour film has been produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and is due for release in cinemas worldwide. It will then stream exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu and Disney+ in the US later this year.
