Olivia Dean, Lola Young, RAYE & More Acts Who Could Make History at the 2026 BRIT Awards

Dean, who won best new artist at this year’s Grammys, could win multiple awards at the BRITs. She is nominated for five awards and is favored to win in three categories by Billboard UK editor Thomas Smith. If she does, she’ll be the fourth Grammy winner for best new artist to win multiple BRIT Awards over a two-year breakthrough cycle, following Dua Lipa (three awards in 2018-19), Sam Smith (three awards in 2014-15) and Culture Club (three awards in 1983-84).

Roan could become the first two-time winner of international song of the year. She won last year for “Good Luck, Babe!” and is nominated this year for “Pink Pony Club.”

Roan could also become the first artist to win international artist of the year two years running since it became a gender-neutral category in 2022.

RAYE could become just the second female solo artist to win song of the year two or more times. She won two years ago for “Escapism,” featuring 070 Shake, and is nominated this year for “Where Is My Husband!” The only woman to date who has won multiple times in this category is Adele, with three wins for “Skyfall” (2013), “Hello” (2016) and “Easy on Me” (2022).

If RAYE wins, she’ll also become the first artist to win twice in the space of three years since Harry Styles accomplished the feat with “Watermelon Sugar” in 2021 and “As It Was” in 2023.

Young could become the first female solo artist to win alternative/rock act since the category was revived in 2022. Wet Leg or Wolf Alice could also become the first female-fronted bands to win the category.

Fender could win alternative/rock act for the second year in a row – and the third time in five years.

The global stars, who hail from Puerto Rico and Spain, respectively, are vying to become the first Latin artists to win international artist of the year.

Should the KPop Demon Hunters trio triumph in the international group category, they would become the first K-pop group to win a BRIT award. BTS (2021, 2022) and Blackpink (2023) were both previously nominated in this category but didn’t win.

The sister trio is nominated for international group of the year, an award they won in 2021. If they win again, they’ll become the first all-female group to win twice in this category.

The music project of singer and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker.is also nominated for international group of the year, an award it won in 2016. If it wins again, it will become the first Australian act to win twice in this category.

Dave could become the first male solo artist to win album of the year twice. He won in 2020 with Psychodrama and is nominated this year for The Boy Who Played the Harp.

Dave could also become the first two-time winner of hip hop/grime/rap act. He won in that category in 2022 and is nominated again this year.

Little Simz could become the first female artist to win best hip hop/grime-rap act since the category was revived in 2022. The four previous winners are Dave, Aitch, Casisdead and Stormzy.

Either group would become the first female-fronted group to win group of the year twice. Wolf Alice took the honor in 2022. Wet Leg won in 2023.

JADE could become the first artist to win pop act two years running since the category was revived in 2022. The singer, who rose to fame as a member of Little Mix, won in this category last year.
