One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson tried and failed to buy tickets to see Oasis – but he might be able to get one for free.
The 32-year-old singer was among the thousands of fans who failed to buy tickets to the 2025 Oasis reunion tour.
Many fans were left furious when technical glitches saw them lose their spot in virtual queues, while others were outraged to see the ticket prices increase while they were queuing during the rush among fans to buy them up.
Opening up about his own disappointment, Louis told Sky Sports, “I didn’t (get Oasis tickets). I was in the queue, but I never got a number. I did try, I did try.”
He was then asked if he stands a chance of being awarded free tickets to watch one of the 17 dates next summer by stars Liam and Noel Gallagher.
The Best Song Ever singer remarked, “I have my fingers crossed.”
The pop star, who is from Doncaster and has been releasing solo music since 2016, previously told the BBC that Oasis have influenced his own songwriting.
He said in 2017, “(I don’t want to) write these Hollywood-esque songs that talk about some unfathomable crazy love story. I’m so bored of that. Because I’m from up north, I grew up loving the likes of the Arctic Monkeys and Oasis. And the way they tell stories is such an effortless thing. It’s real, it’s honest and it’s to the point, you know?”
Oasis will embark on their sold-out Live ’25 Tour on 4 July 2025 taking in dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
