Noel and Liam Gallagher came together earlier this week to confirm a massive run of comeback shows, dubbed Oasis Live ’25. The upcoming tour is due to be held next summer, marking the first time the brothers have been on stage together in 16 years.
Concerts are lined up for Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Dublin’s Croke Park, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, and yesterday (August 29), additional dates were announced for Manchester, London and Edinburgh in response to “unprecedented demand”.
With tickets due to go on sale tomorrow morning (August 31), many across the world are preparing to join the virtual queue. That doesn’t include, apparently, Manchester City’s manager.
In a press conference earlier today, Guardiola was asked if his priority for tomorrow morning is preparing for City’s upcoming game with West Ham or securing Oasis tickets.
“Absolutely West Ham,” the manager responded. Then, when asked if he’d be in the queue for tickets at all, Guardiola said: “If we can go, we’ll go. Absolutely.”
He went on to say that the reunion is “good news” for music. “They’re back so it’s fantastic for the thousand million fans they have around the world, especially here in England,” he said.
Both Gallagher brothers are supporters of the club, with Noel being particularly vocal about it in recent years. In 2016 he was the first person to interview Guardiola when he became the new Man City manager, and in 2021 he revealed that he keeps a cardboard cutout of Guardiola in his studio to help inspire his songwriting.
Gallagher also revealed that he sends text messages to the City manager after each game and the pair share their thoughts on the side’s chances for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Liam shared that he was “buzzing” when Guardiola was appointed manager in 2016 and went on a Twitter/X spree to welcome him to the club.

Additionally, Oasis have partnered with resale platform Twickets, where fans can buy unwanted tickets for no more than face value (plus booking fees). The full list of ticket prices was also published online.
Amid all the hype, there is currently talk about which previous Oasis members could be joining Liam and Noel on stage in 2025, with co-founder Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs reportedly on board.
Earlier reports claimed that “no other original Oasis member is expected to join the reunion”, and that “the members of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will step in”.
Meanwhile, fans have been revisiting the group’s final setlist from 2009 to get an idea of what they might play next year and reminiscing about how tickets to their iconic Knebworth shows cost less than £25. You can find NME’s dream setlist for the forthcoming gigs here.
