Post Malone and his former fiancée are embroiled in a custody battle over their two-year-old daughter.
The Sunflower singer’s ex revealed her identity on Wednesday when she filed for primary physical custody of their daughter in Los Angeles Superior Court.
In the documents, Hee Sung ‘Jamie’ Park also requested joint legal custody with Post and stated that she is willing to give him visitation rights.
However, it later emerged that the 29-year-old, real name Austin Post, had filed his own custody documents in Utah on Monday, two days before Park’s motion in LA. His petition is under seal so it has yet to be revealed what custody set-up he is asking for.
According to TMZ, because the Rockstar hitmaker filed first, the case will be handled in Utah. This is reportedly a win for Post as Utah child support payments are typically lower than ones in California.
Sources told the publication that he filed his paperwork in Utah because that’s where the former couple were initially splitting 50/50 custody of the daughter. Park reportedly moved to California at the start of the year after they called off their engagement in late 2024.
Their daughter’s name has not yet been publicised, and she was referred to as “DDP” in Park’s legal action. She was born on 26 May 2022.
Post announced his engagement and the arrival of his daughter during an interview on The Howard Stern Show in June 2022.
Since his split from Park, the I Had Some Help singer has moved on with university student Christy Lee.
