Post Malone, Slash, Chad Smith, Lauryn Hill and more will be leading tributes to Ozzy Osbourne, D’Angelo and Roberta Flack at the Grammys this weekend.

Set to take place on Sunday (February 1) at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, The Recording Academy announced that there will be special tribute performances held for the late artists on the night.

In honour of late heavy metal pioneer and Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, Post Malone will join forces with Guns N’ Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith for a performance.

They will also be joined on stage by renowned producer Andrew Watt, who worked with the Prince Of Darkness on his last two solo albums: 2020’s ‘Ordinary Man’ and 2022’s ‘Patient Number 9’.

Osbourne died in his family home in Buckinghamshire following a heart attack last July, aged 76. Just over two weeks before his passing, he helped raise millions for children’s charities by playing his final-ever live show in his Birmingham hometown.

The 2026 Grammys ceremony will also see Lauryn Hill take to the stage to honour neo-soul icon D’Angelo, who died in October after a battle with cancer, and R&B and jazz star Roberta Flack, who died last February after battling ALS for the past few years.

Brandy Clark, Reba McEntire, and Lukas Nelson will then perform during the “In Memoriam” segment – paying respects to other artists and industry leaders who have died over the past year.

As for those up for awards on the night, Kendrick Lamar leads the way this year with nine nods for his sixth album ‘GNX’.

Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff and producer Cirkut, are hot on his heels, each with seven nominations, and Leon Thomas, Serban Ghenea, Bad Bunny and Sabrina Carpenter all have six.

Last week, Carpenter was announced as the first performer for the 2026 ceremony, and is expected to break out tracks ‘Man’s Best Friend’, which is up for ‘Album Of The Year’.

Trevor Noah will return for the sixth consecutive year to host, and has said that it will be his “final time” doing so. He also serves as an executive producer this year, and is nominated in the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording category for his children’s story, Into The Uncut Grass.

The eligibility period for the 2026 Grammys ranged from August 31 2024 to August 30 2025, meaning that records released after that date – including Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ – were ineligible.
