RAYE celebrates first chart-topping single of 2026 with ‘Where Is My Husband!’

Who needs a husband when you have the first Official Number 1 single of 2026?

RAYE’s making quite the habit of entering the New Year with a chart-topper. After claiming the first Official Number 1 single of 2023 with 070 Shake team-up Escapism., she’s only gone and done it again with WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!

Playing the long game, WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! finally takes the top spot in its 15th week on the chart. It becomes RAYE’s second UK chart-topper to date, and 20th Top 40 single across a decade-long career.

As The Life Of A Showgirl is named the UK’s Official biggest album of 2025, Taylor Swift’s former Number 1 The Fate of Ophelia is on the rebound as a slew of Christmas tunes depart the chart (2). It’s joined in the Top 40 by Opalite (11).

Dave and Tems secure a brand-new peak for Raindance, up to Number 3 this week. The track beats its previous Number 5 best in its 10th week on the chart.

After ringing in the New Year on Jools Holland’s Annual Hootenanny, and with The Art of Loving returning to Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, Olivia Dean finds four tracks inside this week’s Top 20: So Easy (To Fall In Love) (3), Sam Fender collab Rein Me In (5), Man I Need (6) and A Couple Minutes (20).

Olivia’s Man I Need recently took the title of the biggest British single released in 2025, coming in at Number 9 on the year-end list.

Djo’s enduring smash End of Beginning returns to the Top 10 for the first time since April 2024, vaulting 49 spots (7).

Inescapable on social media all over again, Zara Larsson’s 2015 hit Lush Life enjoys a resurgence thanks to its viral dance trend. The tune, which peaked at Number 3 a decade ago, skyrockets 41 to Number 9 this week.

It just keeps runnin’. HAVEN. ft. Kaitlin Aragon’s I Run breaks into the Top 10 for the first time (10).

Recently named the Official biggest song of 2025, Alex Warren’s Ordinary is on the up (13).

Tyla takes Chanel to new heights this week, surging 51 to Number 15.

With the conclusion of Stranger Things hitting Netflix, Kate Bush’s record-breaking Running Up That Hill, now synonymous with the show, returns to the Top 20 (16).

After breaking the internet by teaming up with Marty Supreme’s Timothée Chalamet, rising Liverpudlian rapper EsDeeKid sees three tracks on the ascent: Rico Ace collab Phantom (14), Century (17) and 4 Raws, which secures a new peak (23).

Another tune bagging a new best is Sonny Fodera, D.O.D and Poppy Baskcomb’s Think About Us, leaping 65 spots (24).

Thanks to its Stranger Things sync, Tiffany’s 1988 chart-topper I Think We’re Alone Now is back in the Top 40 for the first time in 37 years (29). Could we have another Running Up That Hill on our hands?

As it goes viral on social media, Kato ft. Jon’s 2010 single Turn The Lights Off secures the Danish DJ his first-ever UK Top 40 single (33). Kato’s version of the track is doing the rounds as a meme, featuring actor Jon Hamm in a club dancing scene from US Apple TV series Your Friends & Neighbours.

With the release of the Bonus Track Version of her chart-topping 2025 LP Man’s Best Friend, Sabrina Carpenter earns a 16th Top 40 single with Such A Funny Way (37).

And finally, PinkPantheress’s Stateside pierces the Top 40 for the first time (40).
