Record Store Day 2026: The Cure, Fleetwood Mac, Divorce, Primal Scream, Bring Me The Horizon and Sigrid among special releases to benefit War Child

A number of new Record Store Day 2026 releases have been announced in support of War Child – check them out below.

The 19th annual celebration of independent record shops in the UK is taking place on Saturday 18 April, with more than 280 stores taking part and an expected list of 100s of artists set to offer exclusive releases for the event.

Earlier today (February 2), RSD announced a series of titles that will be available to buy at participating shops on the day, all in support of their official charity partner War Child UK.

£1 of every copy sold of the records below will be donated to the charity, which works to protect, educate and support the mental health of children affected by war – and it comes at a time of conflicts in Palestine, Ukraine, Sudan, Syria and beyond.

The releases in question include The Cure’s ‘Greatest Hits’ and ‘Acoustic Hits’, Fleetwood Mac’s Peter Green-era 1971 compilation ‘The Original Fleetwood Mac’ and Primal Scream’s 1997 remix album ‘Echo Dek’.

Two Manic Street Preachers solo albums will also be on offer – James Dean Bradfield’s first record, ‘The Great Western’, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, and Nicky Wire’s second solo record ‘Intimism’ from 2023.

A reissue of Sigrid and Bring Me The Horizon’s unlikely 2022 collaboration ‘Bad Life’ is also getting an RSD release, as is Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris’ 2006 joint album ‘All The Roadrunning’.

Other War Child-supported releases include Kaiser Chiefs’ fourth album ‘The Future Is Medieval’ from 2011, and The Streets’ ‘Computer And Blues’ from the same year.

Corinne Bailey Rae’s ‘Live In New York’, Divorce’s ‘Live At Get Together 2025 For War Child’, Dr. Feelgood’s ‘Oily City Confidential OST’, Rory Gallagher’s ‘Calling Card’ and The Vaccines’ ‘What Did You Expect…Demos and B-Sides’ complete the set of records announced so far.

Other RSD 2026 releases announced so far include two David Bowie releases – a ‘Hallo Spaceboy’ remixes EP and a half-speed LP of excerpts from ‘1.OUTSIDE’ – and a trio of live recordings from The Snuts, Kokoroko and Nilüfer Yanya.

The full, extensive list of releases for Record Store Day 2026 is expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

The official UK ambassador for RSD 2025 was Sam Fender, who also released a six-track 12-inch vinyl record to mark the occasion, ‘Me And The Dog’. Post Malone took on an ambassador role for last year’s edition, too. The likes of Taylor Swift, Kate Bush, The 1975, Noel Gallagher and Elton John have all previously taken on the title.

RSD ’25 saw exclusive releases from Oasis, Charli XCX, Fred Again.., The Cure, Gorillaz, Taylor Swift and many more. Fans queued from the early hours to get hold of special edition vinyl from their local indie record shops. Check out the full list here.

War Child UK has also overseen the indie all-star new compilation album ‘Help(2)’, featuring Arctic Monkeys’ first song in four years ‘Opening Night’, as well as names including Damon Albarn, English Teacher, Fontaines D.C., Johnny Marr, The Last Dinner Party, Wet Leg, Olivia Rodrigo, Pulp and Depeche Mode. The album will be released on March 6 and is available for pre-order here.
