Rich Homie Quan’s cause of death has been revealed, a month after the rapper’s tragic death at age 34.
The Type Of Way singer died at his home in Atlanta on 5 September.
According to a report from the Fulton County Medical Examiner in Georgia, shared by TMZ, the star died from an accidental overdose with a mix of several drugs in his system, including fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine and promethazine.
His death has been ruled an accident.
The rapper, whose real name is Dequantes Devontay Lamar, was found dead last month, just a month shy of his 35th birthday.
His longtime partner, Amber Williams, found him unresponsive on the sofa and called 911, telling the dispatcher he was not breathing, didn’t have a heartbeat and started foaming at the mouth when she tried to move him.
Quan has since been laid to rest and his estate released a posthumous song and music video, featuring footage from his funeral.
He was described by The New York Times as being part of the city’s rising generation of rappers, and had collaborated with Tyga, YG, Jeezy and Young Thug.
He left behind four sons, two of whom he shared with Williams, and two from a previous relationship.
