Rihanna has taken her sons to court to support their dad, A$AP Rocky, in his assault trial.
The singer took the couple’s children, RZA, two, and Riot, one, to watch the proceedings on Thursday.
Both boys were wearing suits.
One onlooker revealed that the “kids are well-behaved, particularly given how young they are and what they’re doing – sitting quietly in a courtroom packed with strangers,” adding that Rihanna had a children’s book out for Riot.
A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, is accused of shooting a gun at former friend and collaborator A$AP Relli, whose real name Terell Ephron. The 36-year-old has pleaded not guilty.
During the trial, Relli, also 36, testified that the rapper confronted him outside a parking garage in 2021, pulled a gun from his waistband, put it toward his stomach and allegedly said, “I’ll kill you right now.”
The closing arguments began on Thursday, with Rocky’s defence team arguing that he was using a prop gun at the time of the incident.
“There’s only one important question in this case, one critical question that you have to answer. And that is: did Mr. Mayers, the man at the table, did he use a real gun or did he use a fake gun?” prosecutor Paul Przelomiec asked jurors in his closing address.
Rihanna, 36, and A$AP Rocky had been friends for years before they officially started dating in 2020.
