Robyn Debuts ‘Sexistential’ Tracks at London Release Party

The Swedish pop singer is celebrating the release of her long-awaited ninth LP

The long wait is over — Robyn‘s first album in eight years, Sexistential, has finally arrived. To celebrate the occasion, the Swedish pop singer threw an album release party in London where she performed tracks from the LP, along with a few of her pop hits.

Robyn took the stage at intimate venue Hackney Empire wearing a leather top and capri pants. She opened with the live debut of “Sucker for My Love.” According to Setlist.fm, the singer performed 21 tracks throughout the night, including new songs “Really Real,” “It Don’t Mean a Thing,” and “Light Up” for the first time ever. For each song, the singer was bathed in red stage lights to match her high-octane energy.

Of course, Robyn closed with a hits-filled encore, including her iconic dance floor confessionals “Missing U” and “Dancing on My Own.” In videos from the night, the entire 1,200-capacity music hall roared the singer’s lyrics back at her as she sang the fan favorites.

It’s not the first time Robyn promoted Sexistential with a live performance. In February, the pop star returned to the stage for the first time in five years for Spotify’s “An Evening With Robyn” event where she debuted single “Dopamine.” On New Year’s Eve, the singer also appeared on New Year’s Eve Live with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper before heading over to her own show at Brooklyn Paramount that same night. For that performance, Robyn sang Sexistential songs “Talk to Me” and the title track.
