The musician’s anticipated follow-up to Kansas Anymore arrives on August 7
Role Model is fully back. The musician has announced his third LP Chuck Timely & the Hourglass, the anticipated follow-up to his breakout album Kansas Anymore. The new album will arrive August 7, via Interscope. Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pilsbury, also revealed that lead single “High Hopes 3000” will be released June 3.
The singer-songwriter threw fans in a tizzy when he started teasing the new project in April with an inexplicable Instagram account for new alter ego “Chuck Timely.” Last week, Pilsbury sent old-fashioned acquaintance cards via snail mail to select fans that directed them to a pre-recorded voicemail message from “Chuck.” The move not only teased Chuck Timely & the Hourglass, it also teased “High Hopes 3000.”
It’s been just over a year since Pilsbury released new music: In February 2025, he shared the deluxe version of Kansas Anymore as he saw his star rise, thanks in part to viral smash “Sally, When The Wine Runs Out.” His last album also yielded soulful fan-favorite “Some Protector.”
The news of his third album comes as Pilsbury is set to kick off a slate of live dates at summer festivals, making stops at Primavera, Bonnaroo, Leeds, and Reading among others. Despite his international run, it seems Role Model found inspiration for the new record back in the states. According to his “Chuck Timely” Instagram, the musician spent time in Maine this past April. It’s a place that he’s been eyeing for a while. In his October 2025 Rolling Stone Musicians on Musicians cover story with María Zardoya, Pilsbury told the singer, “I’d love to write in Maine. I haven’t done that yet, so that’s a goal.”
