Rosalía assured fans she’s feeling “much better now” as she resumed her world tour after a bout of food poisoning last week.

The Spanish singer-songwriter cut her show in Milan, Italy short on 25 March because she was experiencing “big time food poisoning”.

Rosalía returned to the stage on Monday night and assured her fans in Madrid, Spain that she was doing much better.

“How are we feeling tonight? I’m so happy to be here,” she told the crowd at the Movistar Arena, according to Billboard. “Last week, I wasn’t feeling too well, but I’m much better now.”

The 33-year-old abruptly halted her concert in Milan after 45 minutes last week because she was too sick to continue performing.

“I tried to do this show since the very beginning (even though) I’ve been sick,” she began, according to fan footage posted on social media. “I’ve had big-time food poisoning (come on) and I tried to push it until the end, but I’m feeling extremely sick… I’m puking out there.”

“I really want to give the best show, and I’m like on the floor trying my best. I may try to continue, but at some point, I might have to stop. I’m extremely sick, and I’m really trying. I’ll push on as much as I can, but if we have to stop, we might have to stop if I really physically, I can’t keep going. I’m in pain.”

But a short time later, the Berghain hitmaker conceded that she was too sick to continue with the concert.

“I’ve tried by all means to continue the show until the end, but I’m really unwell, and I can’t do it,” she declared.

Monday’s gig kicked off her four-night residency at the Movistar Arena in the star’s native Spain.

The Lux Tour, in support of the album of the same name, began in France in March and is scheduled to travel around the U.K and Europe before moving on to North and South America. The trek is slated to conclude in Puerto Rico on 3 September.
