Royal Blood announce new album ‘Dead Company’ with pummelling new single ‘Ten Over Ten’

Royal Blood have announced a new album ‘Dead Company’ along with comeback single ‘Ten Over Ten’.

The duo’s fifth studio LP comes three years after their last album ‘Back To The Water Below‘ and is set to drop on November 13 via Warner Records. You can pre-order/pre-save it here.

According to a press release frontman Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher “entered the studio in 2025 with no deadline, no distractions and a simple ambition: to see what was possible with two people, 12 notes and infinite outcomes”.

‘Dead Company’ “strips everything back to its core. Immediate and uncompromising, it captures Royal Blood at their most powerful”.

As a first taster, the band have shared pummelling new single ‘Ten Over Ten’, which you can listen to below.

Of the album, the band said: “After putting the Royal Blood engine in neutral for a couple of years, we’ve been building up the revs and are playing faster and harder than ever with this album.

“Written and recorded with the stage in mind, we cannot wait to play it live for years to come.”

It comes, after the band teased new music in June and announced three intimate comeback shows in Margate, Southampton and Guildford for later this month. Find any remaining tickets here.

Back in 2024, the Royal Blood celebrated the 10th anniversary of their self-titled debut album, telling NME at the time that “it’s still a record that we live and breathe.”

Reflecting on the album and their career, the band said their debut saw them go from being “independent lone rangers trying to find ourselves shows” playing cosy pub gigs, to winning BRIT and NME Awards and playing huge stages at Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds in 18 months.

The record went double-Platinum, as well as bagging a four-star review from NME which declared: “Their impact will surely stretch beyond rock’s confines”.

Remembering the release of their debut, the band’s Mike Kerr told NME: “At the time that record came out, it was a bit of a whirlwind. I don’t think we would truly take stock of what was happening. Hindsight is a great thing, because you look back and realise how wild it was. For people to build long lasting relationships with things, you need time on your side.

“It’s one thing having a great new song that you’re into, but when there’s a song that you love and it gets baked in with your memories and where you were at that time when it came out, when time moves on those songs become more than just a catchy song that you like, they become a meaningful portal back into that era.”

The band’s last album, ‘Back To The Water Below’ was released in 2023.

In a four star review of this, NME said the album “feels like a return for Royal Blood. Honouring their gut, as Kerr said they did in the studio, has manifested fertile results for their band. ‘Whenever we do something really honest, it’s musically very powerful,’ the bassist told NME. There’s power in trusting your instincts, and ‘Back To The Water Below’ backs that assertion.”
