The ‘Espresso’ singer will perform in London on Saturday, July 5 next year, making her the sixth artist to join BST’s line-up of confirmed headliners after Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan, Jeff Lynne’s ELO, Zach Bryan and Hugh Jackman.
Support will come from Clairo and beabadoobee, with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets go on general sale on Wednesday December 11 at 10am GMT and can be purchased here.
Alternatively, an Amex presale will also be held from 10am GMT today (December 6) until 9am on Wednesday 11 and tickets can be purchased here.
Last year’s BST Hyde Park line-up featured headliners Stevie Nicks, Kylie Minogue, Stray Kids, SZA, Kings Of Leon, Morgan Wallen, Andrea Bocelli, Robbie Williams and Shania Twain, and news of Carpenter’s upcoming slot on the Great Oak Stage follows a banner year for the now six-time Grammy-nominee.
Her rapid ascent to pop stardom has earned her praise from Miley Cyrus, Jack Antonoff and Taylor Swift, who recently hailed her “the pop princess of our dreams” when they teamed up to perform an acoustic mash-up of Carpenter’s hits ‘Espresso’ and ‘Please Please Please’ and Swift’s vault track ‘Is It Over Now?’ from ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’.
Next year will also see her headline Primavera Sound alongside Charli XCX and Chappell Roan, as well as embark on the UK and European leg of her tour, which will take place next year with former NME Cover star Rachel Chinouriri as a special guest.
Those shows kick off at 3Arena in Dublin on March 3, with further shows in Birmingham, London and Manchester – see all dates below and grab tickets here.
In other Carpenter news, she most recently revealed the list of guests joining her for her upcoming Netflix holiday special ‘A Nonsense Christmas’.
The special, which will premiere on December 6, will include appearances from Chappell Roan, Tyla, Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Kyle Mooney, Megan Stalter and more.
